Composition
Active substance:
1 tablet contains: hydrochlorothiazide – 25.0 mg or 100 mg.
Product form:
Tablets 25 and 100 mg are packed to 10, 20 pieces in blisters together with instructions for use placed in a cardboard box (pack).
Contraindications
• Increased sensitivity to the drug, other sulfonamide derivatives, other thiazide diuretics; • Anuria; • severe renal failure (creatinine clearance less than 30 mL / min) • Severe hepatic insufficiency; • difficult to control diabetes; • Addison’s disease; • Refractory hypokalaemia, hyponatraemia, hypercalcaemia; • Age up to 3 years (for a given dosage form); • Lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose syndrome malabsorption.
Indications
• Hypertension (in monotherapy and in combination with other antihypertensive drugs); • Otechny syndrome of various genesis (chronic heart failure, nephrotic syndrome, premenstrual syndrome, acute glomerulonephritis, chronic renal failure, portal hypertension, treatment with corticosteroids); • Control polyuria, preferably at nephrogenic diabetes insipidus; • Prevention of formation of stones in the urogenital tract in susceptible patients (decrease hypercalciuria).

Pharmacological properties:
Thiazide diuretic medium strength. Reduces the reabsorption of sodium in the cortical segment of the loop of Henle, without affecting its portion extending in the medulla of kidney, which defines a weak diuretic effect compared with furosemide. Blocks carbonic anhydrase in the proximal convoluted tubules, increases potassium excretion by the kidneys (in the distal tubule sodium is exchanged for potassium) bicarbonates and phosphates. Virtually no effect on acid-base status (sodium or displayed together with chlorine, or with the carbonate, so when alkalosis increases the excretion of bicarbonate, with acidosis – chloride). Increases magnesium excretion; delays in the body of calcium ions and excretion of urate. The diuretic effect develops in 1-2 hours, reaches a maximum after 4 hours, 6-12 hours continues. Action decreases with a decrease in glomerular filtration rate and stops when its value less than 30 ml / min. Patients with diabetes insipidus provides an antidiuretic effect (reduced urine volume and increases its concentration). Lowers blood pressure by reducing blood volume, vascular reactivity change, reduce the pressor effect vasoconstrictors (epinephrine, norepinephrine) and the depressor effect on amplification ganglia. At normal blood pressure thiazide diuretics have no effect.

Dosing and Administration
Inside. The dose should be adjusted individually. With constant medical control sets the minimum effective dose. The tablets should be taken after meals.
