Prostatic hypertrophy in violation of the outflow of urine.
Closure glaucoma.
Myasthenia gravis.
Hyperthermic syndrome.

Acute bleeding.
Pregnancy.
During breastfeeding.
Children up to age 18 years.
Caution should be used in patients with vegetative (autonomic) neuropathy; with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, brain injury; with hepatic and renal failure; chronic lung diseases accompanied by low phlegm production that separates difficult, especially in immunocompromised patients; with reflux esophagitis, hiatal hernia, combined with the reflux oesophagitis; inflammatory bowel diseases including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease; with megacolon; with xerostomia (dry mouth).
Indications
The drug is used as a symptomatic treatment for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, accompanied by increased secretion of the stomach and spasms of smooth muscles for the purpose of relief of pain and dyspepsia (hyperacid gastritis, peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer, intestinal colic).
Interaction with other drugs
When applying Bekarbona: -c amantadine, antiarrhythmic anticholinergics (including quinidine), tricyclic antidepressants, nefopam, glutetimid – intensified anticholinergic effects of the drug;
c opioid analgesics and drugs depressing the central nervous system – possible CNS depression;
c butyrophenones (haloperidol) and organic nitrates – increased intraocular pressure;
c corticosteroids for systemic use – is reduced and the effect of corticosteroids may increase intraocular pressure;
pilocarpine -c – decreases its effect in the treatment of glaucoma;
c M-holinoblokatorami – intensified anticholinergic effects;
c furosemide – possible orthostatic hypotension;
c reserpine, inhibitors of monoamine oxidase (MAO), guanethidine, antacids, ascorbic acid, attapulgitom – effect of the preparation is reduced;
c levodopa – reduced systemic concentrations of levodopa, so it is necessary to adjust the dosage;
-with some antihistamines (including meclizine) – enhanced anti-histamine effect;
c beta-adrenoceptor blockers – reduces their effect;
-c hormonal contraceptives – contraceptive effect is reduced;
c nonselective inhibitors of reverse neuronal uptake of monoamines – amplified sedative effects of both drugs;
c nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, griseofulvin, digitoxin, doxycycline, metoclopramide, metronidazole – reduces the effect of these drugs;
c ketoconazole – increasing gastric pH Bekarbonom reduces absorption of ketoconazole, however Bekarbon should be no earlier than 2 hours after the administration of ketoconazole;
c sulfonamides – increases the risk of kidney damage;
c indapamide, nizatidine – increases their effect;
-c preparations containing potassium – may damage the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract;
c domperidone – the effects of anticholinergic drugs are antagonistic effects of domperidone on gastrointestinal motility;
-c lithium – lithium sodium hydrogencarbonate increases excretion, reducing its concentration in plasma.
Since sodium hydrogencarbonate, part of the drug, has antacid properties, it is desirable not to accept Bekarbon simultaneously with other medications (may impair their suction).
Overdose
Symptoms: increasing incidence of adverse reactions, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia, decrease in blood pressure, agitation, irritability, tremors, convulsions, insomnia, drowsiness, hallucination, hyperthermia, tachypnea and hyperpnoea possible signs of dehydration, CNS depression, inhibition of the activity of the respiratory and vasomotor centers .
Treatment: gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal, correction fluid and electrolyte balance, the parenteral administration of cholinomimetics and anticholinesterases. Treatment is symptomatic.
pharmachologic effect
Pharmacological group:
Preparations for the treatment of functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Belladonna and its derivatives. The amount of belladonna alkaloids.
Pharmacodynamics:
Bekarbon – combined formulation, which comprises belladonna leaf extract and sodium hydrogencarbonate. The drug exhibits antispasmodic and antacid effects.
Spasmolytic effect due to the effect of belladonna alkaloids: owing m-anticholinergic effect decreases the tonus of smooth muscle organs (bronchial tree, the abdominal organs, etc.) is eliminated intestinal muscle spasm, biliary tract, reduced motility, secretion of digestive, salivary glands and other develops positive chronotropic and dromotropic effect expands the pupil (with the possible increase of intraocular pressure) can paralysis of accommodation.
Penetrating the blood-brain barrier that affects the central nervous system (CNS), stimulates the respiratory center, large doses cause motor and mental disorders, convulsions, hallucinogenic effects, respiratory paralysis.
Sodium hydrogencarbonate neutralize free hydrochloric acid of the gastric juice (antacid action), thereby has a protective effect on the gastric mucosa.
Pharmacokinetics:
Pharmacokinetics of belladonna. Well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). It is not known whether belladonna alkaloids into breast milk. Atropine, hyoscyamine, scopolamine cross the placenta. Atropine and hyoscyamine readily penetrate the blood-brain barrier. Belladonna alkaloids hydrolyzed to tropine and tropine acid. Excreted in the urine, and, to a lesser extent in the faeces.
The pharmacokinetics of sodium hydrogencarbonate. Antacid effect occurs rapidly, but it is short-lived. The reaction of hydrochloric acid neutralization produces carbon dioxide. Sodium bicarbonate, sucking can lead to alkalosis. Excreted in the urine.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Use of the drug is contraindicated in the I trimester of pregnancy due to the teratogenic effects of belladonna alkaloids, in the II and III trimester – is not recommended due to the lack of use of safety data in this group of patients. the penetration of data belladonna alkaloids into breast milk is not available, therefore the use of the drug is not recommended during breast-feeding.

side effects
From the nervous system: headache, dizziness, nervousness, somnolence, agitation (especially in older patients), fatigue, sleep disorders, ataxia (ataxia), speech disorder.
From the urinary system: difficulty, and urinary retention.
On the part of the digestive tract: dry mouth, thirst, disturbance of taste, regurgitation, dysphagia, flatulence, cramping / abdominal pain, decrease intestinal motility until atony, constipation, reducing tone biliary tract and gall bladder; while taking the drug at high doses for a short period of time can be observed a compensatory hypersecretion of gastric juice.
On the part of the organs of vision: mydriasis, photophobia, paresis of accommodation, temporary blurred vision, increased intraocular pressure.
Cardio-vascular system: facial redness, flushing, palpitations, arrhythmias (including extrasystole, tachycardia), myocardial ischemia, may increase blood pressure.
The respiratory system and organs of the mediastinum: a decrease in the secretory activity and tone bronchi, leading to the formation of viscous mucus that is difficult to cough up.
On the part of the immune system: the manifestations of hypersensitivity reactions, including anaphylactic reaction, anaphylactic shock.
Skin and subcutaneous tissue: skin rash, flushing, urticaria, exfoliative dermatitis.
Other: decreased sweating, dry skin and mucous membranes, dysarthria, ote¬ki, strengthening existing hypokalemia.
