Indications
The hydrogel ophthalmic VISMED® gel (VIZMED® gel) in single dose tubes looks to 0.45 ml is used for long-term protection and in the presence of dry eye syndrome manifestations of “dry eyes” and / or the front surface of the eye lesions of superficial keratitis and Sjogren’s syndrome.
For long-term dry eye surface with complaints of a sense of “dryness”, a burning sensation, eye fatigue caused by the wearing of hard or soft contact lenses, continuous operation of the computer, being in air-conditioned room, the dust, the influence of dry air, wind or cold, as a result of ophthalmologic instrument surveys.
Interaction with other drugs
Preclinical and clinical trials confirm the excellent tolerability VISMED® (VIZMED®). The results of toxicological studies confirm the absence of risk to the mother and fetus, as well as the systemic absorption of the drug.
Not recommended simultaneous use VISMED® (VIZMED®) with other ophthalmic agents, as this can affect their performance.
pharmachologic effect
Pharmacological properties:
Sodium hyaluronate – natural polymer which is present in the tissues of the human eye. Therapeutic effect VISMED® gel (gel VIZMED®) is associated with the property of viscoelasticity and the ability of sodium hyaluronate to bind and retain water. VISMED® gel (gel VIZMED®) is characterized by high viscosity in the absence of blinking movements and a low viscosity at the time of flashing that it provides an effective distribution of the ocular surface, preventing “dry” and eye irritation. Sodium hyaluronate has an affinity for mukoglikoproteinu tears, which increases the stability of the tear film.
VISMED® gel (VIZMED® gel), as well as tear fluid contains ions of calcium, magnesium and potassium, required to maintain the normal structure and function of the eyes cornea.
Inclusion of VISMED® (VIZMED®) sodium citrate helps to maintain the viscoelastic properties of the product in the presence of other ions and prevent their precipitation.
VISMED® gel (VIZMED® gel) promotes regeneration, including after keratorefractive operations due to increased cell migration.
Leading mechanism in the development of the syndrome of “dry eye” is tears hyperosmolarity and tear film instability. VISMED® gel (VIZMED® gel) due to its hypotonic tears hyperosmolarity able to compensate.
Due to the unique combination of components, VISMED® gel (VIZMED® gel) provides long-term protection of the cornea, relief of symptoms “dryness” of the eye due to restoration of normal tear film properties.
side effects
In very rare cases may cause conjunctival irritation, feelings of “foreign body” in the eye, redness or burning eyes, short-term “fogging” view.
