Pharmacological properties:
Smekta® is a double aluminum silicate of natural origin, has an absorbent action. It stabilizes the mucosal barrier of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT) due to multivalent forms of mucus glycoproteins, increases its amount, improves cytoprotective properties. Has selective sorption properties, adsorbs located in the lumen of the GI tract bacteria, viruses and toxins. At therapeutic doses, has no direct effect on intestinal motility. Dioctahedral smectite is a radiolucent, it does not stain the chair.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Smecta permitted for use in pregnant and lactating women.

Dosing and Administration
