Composition
Active substance:
1 ml of solution contains: sodium picosulphate relative to anhydrous substance – 7.5 mg ;.
Excipients:
Sodium Methyl parahydroxybenzoate – relative to anhydrous substance 2.06 mg sorbitol (sorbitol food) – 375.0 mg, 1 M hydrochloric acid solution – 0.01 mL purified water – up to 1 ml.
Description:
Transparent slightly viscous, colorless or slightly colored liquid.
Product form:
Drops for oral administration of 7.5 mg / ml. 15 ml vials with stopper lighting glass dropper. 30 ml vials lighting glass complete with a dropper. Each vial together with instructions for use placed in a pile of cardboard.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, ileus, strangulated hernia, acute inflammatory diseases of the abdominal cavity, peritonitis, abdominal pain (of unknown origin), bleeding from the gastrointestinal tract, metrorrhagia, cystitis, severe dehydration, spastic constipation, children ( up to 4 years), pregnancy (I term).
Caution: II and III trimesters of pregnancy, lactation.

Indications
Constipation due to hypotonia and sluggish motility of the colon.
Regulation stool with hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissures. Preparation for surgery, instrumental and radiological studies.
Interaction with other drugs
Possible increased sensitivity to cardiac glycosides.
Steroids, diuretics increase the risk of electrolyte abnormalities.
Antimicrobials broad-spectrum effectiveness reduce sodium picosulphate.
Overdose
Symptoms include diarrhea, dehydration, decreased blood pressure, disorders of water and electrolyte balance, seizures. In addition, in chronic overdose may develop mucosa of colon ischemia, secondary hyperaldosteronism, urolithiasis, renal tubular injury.
Treatment: gastric lavage, correction of fluid and electrolyte balance, antispasmodics.

Laxative.
Pharmacodynamics:
Sodium picosulphate – laxative. By intestinal microorganisms hydrolyzed to form the active form, which causes excitation of receptors colonic mucosa membranes and enhancement of its peristalsis. Effect occurs within 10-12 hours after administration.
Pharmacokinetics:
After ingestion is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and does not undergo hepatic-intestinal circulation.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Data on the reliable and well-controlled studies in pregnant women are missing. Long experience with revealed no negative influence on the pregnancy sodium picosulphate. Application of sodium picosulfate in I trimester contraindicated. In the II and III trimester of pregnancy (as with other laxatives) use of the drug is possible only by prescription.
The active metabolite and its glucuronide is not excreted in breast milk. Thus, the drug can be used during breastfeeding.

Dosing and Administration
Inside a small amount of water before going to bed.
Adults: initial dose – 10-20 drops when persistent constipation – up to 30 drops.
For children over 4 years of the initial dose – 5-8 drops.
Depending on the obtained effect dose increase or decrease during subsequent receptions. The maximum daily dose for adults – 30 drops; for children – 15 drops.
