Composition
Active substance:
100 g of gel contains: piroxicam – 0.50 g
Product form:
Gel for topical application of 0.5%, together with instructions for use placed in a cardboard box.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to piroxicam, other NSAIDs, or other drug component, a full or partial combination of asthma, recurrent nasal polyposis and paranasal sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (including history), severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml / min), disorders of skin integrity in the intended place of application, III trimester pregnancy, lactation, infancy (up to 1 4 years).

Indications
Pain: ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile chronic arthritis, tendonitis, tenosynovitis, scapulohumeral syndrome; sports injury (contusions, ligament damage and muscle).

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Pharmacological properties:
It has anti-inflammatory, analgesic, local cooling effect. Non-selectively inhibit cyclooxygenase 1 and type 2 (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the tissue prostaglandins are mediators of inflammation. The drug reduces the pain in the joints, muscles, increases range of motion and reduce the swelling associated with inflammation.

Dosing and Administration
Outwardly. The gel is applied to the skin over the affected area (1-2 cm column that is about 1 g) and gently rubbed 3-4 times per day. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the symptoms and on average 2 weeks at tendinitis, tenosynovitis and scapulohumeral syndrome; 1-2 weeks – sports injuries. The duration of treatment should not exceed 2 weeks.
