Composition
Active substance:
100 g of the preparation contains: liquid thyme extract 12 g Potassium bromide 1 g
Excipients:
64% sucrose (sugar syrup), ethanol (ethyl alcohol) 95%, purified water.
Description:
Thick brown liquid with an aromatic odor.
Product form:
Syrup.

Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to the drug, liver disease, alcoholism, traumatic brain injury, cerebral diseases, epilepsy, chronic heart failure (decompensated), pregnancy, lactation, infancy (up to 3 years).

Indications

Overdose
The drug should not be used simultaneously with antitussive drugs, since it complicates the liquefied sputum expectoration.

Pharmacological properties:
Combined preparation. Herb thyme extract has expectorant action, increases the amount of discharge of secretory mucosal upper respiratory tract, promotes liquefaction of sputum and its evacuation. Potassium bromide reduces the excitability of the central nervous system.

The preparation comprises 8-11% ethanol. absolute ethanol content is: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) – 0.43 g, a dessert spoon (10 ml) – 0.87 g, 1 tablespoon (15 ml) – up to 1.3 g in maximum daily dose of the drug for adults – 3 tablespoons (45 ml) – contains up to 3.9 g of absolute alcohol.
During the period of treatment must be careful when driving and occupation of other potentially hazardous activities that require high concentration and psychomotor speed reactions.
Note for diabetics: sucrose content of 1 teaspoonful (5 ml) of the preparation correspond to about 0.22 XE, 1 dessert spoon (10 ml) – about 0.44 XE, 1 tablespoon – about 0.66 XE.

Dosing and Administration
The drug is taken by mouth, after food (due to the possibility of loss of appetite).
Adults 1 tablespoon three times daily;
Children from 3 to 6 years – 1 / 2-1 teaspoon 3 times a day;
children from 6 to 12 years old – 1-2 teaspoons 3 times a day;
children over 12 years – 1 dessert spoon 3 times a day.
