1 tablet contains: valerian rhizomes and roots dry extract ((4-7): 1) – 50.00 mg (corresponding to 35,00 mg native extract); Melissa officinalis leaf extract, dry ((3-6): 1) – 25.00 mg (corresponding to 17.50 mg native extract); peppermint leaf dry extract ((3-6): 1) – 25.00 mg (corresponding to 17.50 mg native extract) ;.

Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to the drug; lactase deficiency, lactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption; deficit sucrase / isomaltase, fructose intolerance; hypotension; cholangitis, gallstones and other diseases of the biliary tract; pregnancy; breastfeeding; Children up to age 12 years.
Precautions: in patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Irritability, insomnia, irritability.
Interaction with other drugs
The preparation increases the effects of hypnotic drugs and other drugs, central nervous system depressants, hypotensive agents (for example, central acting), analgesics, which requires correction doses.
Overdose
A single dose of 20 g of valerian rhizomes and roots (about 104 film-coated tablets, Persen®) can cause fatigue, stomach cramps, feeling in chest compression, dizziness, trembling hands, pupil dilation, which may disappear spontaneously within 24 hours.
If there are signs of overdose it is advisable to carry out gastric lavage and seek medical advice.

Pharmacological properties:
The drug has a sedative and spasmolytic effect.
The extract of rhizomes and roots of valerian has a soothing effect.
Lemon balm leaf extract – soothing and antispasmodic.
Extract of peppermint leaves – antispasmodic, mild sedative effect.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Use of the drug during pregnancy and has not been studied during breast-feeding. Persen® use of the drug during pregnancy (especially during the first trimester) and breastfeeding possible if the intended benefits to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Dosing and Administration
Inside, with water, regardless of the meal.
Adults and children over 12 years: with increased nervous excitability, irritability – 2-3 tablets, coated tablets, 2-3 times a day; insomnia – 2-3 coated tablets for 30 minutes – 1 hour before bedtime.
The maximum daily dose is 12 tablets per day.
Upon termination of treatment withdrawal occurs.
You should not use the drug continuously for more than 1.5-2 months.
