Composition
Active substance:
1 suppository contains papaverine hydrochloride – 20 mg.
Excipients:

Description:

Contraindications

Interaction with other drugs
Papaverine reduces antiparkinsonian effect of levodopa and the hypotensive effect of methyldopa. In combination with barbiturates spasmolytic effect of papaverine amplified. When coupled with a tricyclic antidepressant, procainamide, reserpine, quinidine sulfate may enhance the antihypertensive effect.
Overdose
Symptoms: double vision, weakness, decreased blood pressure, drowsiness. Treatment: symptomatic (blood pressure maintenance).

Pharmacological properties:
Papaverine hydrochloride is miotropnym antispasmodic. Inhibits phosphodiesterase cause accumulation in a cell cyclic-AMP 3.5 and reduced calcium content. It relaxes the smooth muscles of internal organs (gastrointestinal tract, airways, urogenital system), and blood vessels. In large doses, it reduces the excitability of the heart muscle and slows intracardiac conduction.
