Composition
Active substance:
100 g of gel contains: Sodium diclofenac 5.0 g
Excipients:
Propylene Glycol – 5.0 g, 95% ethanol (ethyl alcohol 95%) – 30.0 g, gietelloza (hydroxyethyl) – 2.5 g Purified water – 100.0 g
Description:
Homogeneous ointment white or white with grayish or kremovatam color with weak specific smell.
Product form:
Gel for external use 5% to 30 g or 50 g aluminum tubes. Each tube together with instructions for use placed in a pile of cardboard.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to diclofenac or other ingredients, acetylsalicylic acid or other nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs, bronchial asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis, provoked by intake of aspirin or other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, pregnancy (III trimester), lactation, infancy (up to 6 s), violation of the integrity of skin.
Carefully
Hepatic porphyria (exacerbation), erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, severe liver and kidney disease, chronic heart failure, blood coagulation disorders (including hemophilia, prolonged bleeding, bleeding tendency), advanced age, pregnancy I and II trimester, children up to 12 years.

Indications
Pain and swelling associated with diseases of the muscles and joints (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, radiculitis, lumbago, sciatica).
Rheumatic soft tissue diseases (tendonitis, bursitis, periarticular tissue damage); muscular pain of rheumatic and rheumatic origin.
Traumatic damage to soft tissues (tensile strain, and bruises).
Interaction with other drugs
Ortofen® may potentiate preparations inducing photosensitization. Clinically significant interactions are not described with other drugs.
Overdose
Very low systemic absorption of the active components of the preparation for external application makes it virtually impossible to overdose.

Pharmacological group:
Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).
Pharmacological properties:
Active ingredient diclofenac – a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug having a pronounced analgesic and antiinflammatory properties. Non-selectively inhibiting cyclooxygenase type 1 and 2, it gives the arachidonic acid metabolism and prostaglandin synthesis, which is the main element in the development of an inflammation.
Ortofen® used to eliminate pain and reduce the swelling associated with inflammation.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
The drug should not be taken in the III trimester of pregnancy. Experience with the drug during lactation is not available. The use of I and II trimesters is possible only after consultation with your doctor.

Local reactions: eczema, photosensitivity, contact dermatitis (itching, redness, swelling the treated skin area, papules, vesicles, desquamation)
Systemic reactions: generalized skin rash, allergic reactions (urticaria, angioedema, bronchospastic reactions), photosensitization.
special instructions
Ortofen® should only be applied to intact skin, avoiding contact with open wounds. After drawing should not impose an occlusive bandage. Do not allow contact with the drug on the eyes and mucous membranes. Avoid UV radiation.
Storage conditions

Dosing and Administration
