Description:
Transparent, colorless or yellowish gel with menthol odor. Presence of opalescence and air bubbles.
Product form:
Gel for topical application, 5.0% + 3.0%.
Gel 50 g aluminum tubes with polymeric Bouchon or tubes made of composite material with polymeric Bouchon.
The tube together with instructions for medical application is placed in a pile of cardboard.
Contraindications
– hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or to other components of the formulation;
– increased sensitivity to aspirin and other NSAIDs;
– full or partial combination of asthma, recurrent nasal polyposis and paranasal sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs (including history);
– violation of integrity of the skin at the site of drug (including infected wounds and abrasions, moist dermatitis, eczema);

Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent, propionic acid derivatives, non-selectively blocking the enzymes cyclooxygenase 1 (COX-1) and cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2), whereby inhibits prostaglandin synthesis – mediators of pain, inflammation and hyperthermic response. The local application has ibuprofen analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect.
Levomenthol has local irritating effect, which leads to the rapid development of analgesic effect of the drug.
The combination of ibuprofen and levomenthol reduces pain and inflammation, effective for joint pain with motion and at rest, reduce morning stiffness of the joints.
Pharmacokinetics:
After application to the skin ibuprofen found in the epidermis and dermis after 24 hours. It achieves high therapeutic concentrations in the underlying soft tissues, joint, and synovial fluid. Clinically significant systemic absorption does not take place.
