Composition
Active substance:
1 ml contains: oxymetazoline hydrochloride 0.1 mg or 0.25 mg or 0.5 mg.
Excipients:
Citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, glycerol (85%), benzalkonium chloride (50% solution), purified water.
Description:
The almost clear, colorless to slightly yellowish solution.
Product form:
Nasal drops 0.01%; 0.025% and 0.05%.
For Nazivina® 0.01%: to 5 ml in the dark glass vial with cap-pipette. 1 bottle with instructions for use placed in a cardboard box.

Contraindications
Atrophic rhinitis; closure glaucoma; hypersensitivity to the drug. It should adhere to the recommended concentration of the drug intended for different age groups (see. Methods of application).
Carefully

Indications

Interaction with other drugs
When concomitant administration of MAO blockers and tricyclic antidepressants – increased blood pressure.
Co-administration of other vasoconstrictor drugs increases the risk of side effects.
Overdose
After a significant overdose or accidental intake of the following symptoms may appear inside: pupillary constriction, nausea, vomiting, cyanosis, fever, tachycardia, arrhythmia, collapse, depression of cardiac activity, hypertension, pulmonary edema, respiratory disorder. In addition, mental disorders can occur, as well as depression of the central nervous system, accompanied by drowsiness, decrease in body temperature, bradycardia, hypotension, respiratory arrest, and possible development of coma. Nazivin® (oxymetazoline) has a vasoconstrictive action. When applied topically to the inflamed nasal mucosa decreases its swelling and nasal discharge. Restores nasal breathing. Removal of mucosal edema contributes to the restoration of aeration sinuses, middle ear cavity, which prevents the development of bacterial complications (sinusitis, sinusitis, otitis media). For topical intranasal application of therapeutic concentrations do not irritate, does not cause flushing. For topical intranasal application drug has a systemic action. The drug begins to act quickly (within minutes). Duration Nazivina® to 12 hours.
Pharmacokinetics:
For topical intranasal application oxymetazoline has no systemic action. The half-life when oxymetazoline intranasal administration is 35 hours. 2.1% oxymetazoline excreted in the urine, and about 1.1% in the feces.

side effects

Dosing and Administration
Nazivin® 0.01%, 0.025% and 0.05% of droplets intended for application to the nose.
Adults and children over 6 years: Apply a drop of 0.05% Nazivina® 1-2 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day.
Children from 1 year to 6 years: Apply a drop of 0.025% Nazivina® 1-2 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day.
Children under 1 year: children under the age of 4 weeks, administered 1 drop Nazivina® 0.01% in each nostril 2-3 times a day. On the fifth week of life and up to 1 year – 1-2 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day.
To ensure accurate dosage vial Nazivina® 0.01% of the droplets have a graduated pipette stamped number of drops. For example, if assigned 1 drop, the pipette solution must fill to the mark 1.
