Composition
Active substance:
1 ml of solution contains: Sodium citrate – 90 mg, 70% sodium lauryl sulfoacetate – 12.9 mg (corresponding to 9 mg of sodium lauryl sulfoacetate), sorbitol solution 70% – 893 mg (corresponding to 625 mg sorbitol) ;.
Excipients:
Sorbic acid – 1 mg Glycerol – 125 mg Purified water to 1 ml.
Description:
Colorless, opalescent, viscous liquid.
Product form:
Solution for rectal administration. 5 ml of a solution for rectal administration mikroklizme single use (a polyethylene tube with a tip and a breakable seal). 4 microclysters together with instructions for use in a cardboard package.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug.
Indications
Constipation, including with encopresis, preparation for endoscopic (rectoscopy) and X-ray examination of the gastrointestinal tract.
Interaction with other drugs
There is a risk of colonic necrosis while oral / rectal sodium polystyrenesulfonate and sorbitol constituting the drug.

pharmachologic effect
Pharmacological group:
Laxative.
Pharmacological properties:
MIKROLAKS® – combined preparation has a laxative effect. The effect occurs within 5-15 minutes. The preparation includes sodium citrate (peptizing agent which displaces the bound water contained in the stool), sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (liquefied intestine contents) and sorbitol (increases laxative effect by stimulation of water flow into the intestine). Increasing the amount of water due to liquefaction and peptization promotes softening of stools and intestinal emptying easier.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women have been conducted. Since this drug is probably absorbed into the systemic circulation to a minor extent, if it is applied in accordance with the recommendations during pregnancy or lactation is not expected of adverse effects to the fetus or infant.
