Composition
Active substance:
1 tablet contains: meloxicam 7.5 mg and 15 mg.
Product form:
7.5 mg tablets and 15 mg. 10, 20, 30 tablets in blisters of PVC lacquered and printed aluminum foil lacquered. 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or 100 tablets in a polymeric container for medicines. One container or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 contour cell packages together with instructions for use placed in a pile of cardboard.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity (including to other NSAIDs), contraindicated since the aortocoronary bypass, decompensated heart failure, complete or partial combination of asthma, recurrent nasal polyposis and paranasal sinuses and intolerance to acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs, gastric ulcer and duodenal intestine in the acute stage; gastrointestinal, or other cerebrovascular bleeding / hemorrhage, severe hepatic failure, severe renal failure (unless hemodialysis), pregnancy, breast-feeding, age and 15 years of age.

Symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis; symptomatic treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, with imptomaticheskoe treatment of ankylosing spondylitis (Bechterew’s disease).

Pharmacological properties:
Meloxicam – a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug having analgesic, antiinflammatory and antipyretic action. Anti-inflammatory action due to inhibition of the enzymatic activity of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) involved in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins in inflammation. To a lesser extent meloxicam acts on cyclooxygenase-1 (COX-1) involved in prostaglandin synthesis, protecting the mucosa of the gastrointestinal tract and participate in the regulation of renal blood flow.

Dosing and Administration
The drug is taken orally during meal time every day. The recommended dosing regimen: – rheumatoid arthritis: 15 mg per day. Depending on the therapeutic effect, the dose can be reduced to 7.5 mg per day. – Osteoarthritis: 7.5 mg. When inefficiency dose may be increased to 15 mg per day. – Ankylosing spondylitis: 15 mg per day. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 15 mg. In patients with an increased risk of side effects as well as in patients with advanced renal failure on hemodialysis, the dose should not exceed 7.5 mg per day.
