Composition
Active substance:
1 dose comprises Xylometazoline hydrochloride 35 mg or 140 mg.
Excipients:
Sodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate, disodium edetate, sodium chloride, purified water.
Description:
Clear, colorless or slightly colored liquid.
Product form:
Nasal spray dosage 35 .mu.g / dose of 140 ug / dose. 10 ml of the product (125 dose vial for dosing 35 mg / dose and 60-dose vial for dosing 140 mg / dose) in a plastic bottle fitted with a dosing pump action device with a tip and a protective cap made of polyethylene. 1 bottle together with instructions for use placed in a cardboard box.
Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to the drug, hypertension, tachycardia, expressed atherosclerosis, glaucoma atrophic rhinitis, hyperthyroidism, surgical interventions in the meninges (history), pregnancy, children up to 2 years (for preparation Xymelin Eco 35 ug / dose); Children under 10 years (for a preparation Xymelin Eco 140 ug / dose). Do not use the drug in the therapy of inhibitors of monoamine oxidase (MAO) or tricyclic antidepressants, including the period of 14 days after their withdrawal.

Indications
Acute respiratory illness with symptoms of rhinitis (common cold), acute allergic rhinitis, hay fever, sinusitis, evstahiit, otitis media (to minimize swelling of nasal mucosa). Preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures in the nasal passages.
Interaction with other drugs
Application Xylometazoline contraindicated in patients receiving MAO or tricyclic antidepressants, including a period of 14 days after their withdrawal. The simultaneous use of tri- or tetracyclic antidepressants and sympathomimetic drugs can lead to increased sympathomimetic effect of xylometazoline, however such combinations should be avoided.
Overdose
Xylometazoline local administration of excessive doses or accidental ingestion can cause severe dizziness, amplified and uneven pulse, sweating, a sharp decrease in body temperature, headache, drowsiness, bradycardia, hypertension, respiratory depression, coma and convulsions. Following the increase in blood pressure can be observed its sharp decline. Appropriate supportive measures should be taken in any suspected overdose, in some cases shown immediate symptomatic treatment under the supervision of a physician. In case of severe poisoning with cardiac arrest CPR should be continued for at least 1 hour.

Pharmacological properties:
Xylometazoline refers to a group of local vasoconstrictive agents (decongestants) with alpha-adrenomimeticheskim action causes vasoconstriction of nasal mucosa, thereby eliminating, mucosal swelling and nasal congestion. Relieves nasal breathing and permeability with rhinitis. Ksimelin Eco contains no preservatives. At therapeutic concentrations does not irritate, does not cause flushing. Effect occurs within two minutes and continued for 12 hours. In vitro studies have shown that ksilometazolin inhibit the infectious activity of the human rhinovirus, which causes “cold.”
Pharmacokinetics:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding

The drug in children should be used under adult supervision.
