Composition
Active substance:
5 ml of the solution contains:
Primula officinalis root extract liquid (1: 2 – 4.6) 1.03 g of
Thymus vulgaris herb liquid extract (1: 3.3), 2.06 g
Excipients:
Levomenthol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), sucrose.
Description:
Syrup brown color and odor. Presence of opalescence.
Product form:
Syrup.
150 ml of syrup in the dark glass vial (type III), capped with a plastic stopper and divider liquid plastic cap with tamper-evident. 1 vial is placed in a wad of cardboard with a plastic spoon dispenser and instructions for use.
Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to the drug, as well as to formulations containing active substances and Primulaceae family Lamiaceae family; children after acute obstructive laryngitis (croup); asthma, diabetes; hereditary fructose intolerance; syndrome glucose-galactose malabsorption and congenital deficiency sucrase-isomaltase; Children under 2 years old.

Indications
The drug has expectorant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial activity; reduces the sputum viscosity and improve its expectoration.
Interaction with other drugs
Gerbion® primrose syrup should not be used simultaneously with antitussive drugs and drugs that reduce the formation of mucus, since it complicates the liquefied sputum expectoration.
Overdose
Reported cases of overdose have been reported.
In case of overdose Saponin formulations, may be gastrointestinal disorders, manifested by nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
Treatment: symptomatic.

Dosing and Administration

Shake before use!
Adult recommended to take 3 scoops (1 scoop – 5 ml) 3-4 times a day after meals.
Children aged 2 to 5 years – 1/2 measuring spoon 3 times a day after meals.
Children aged 5 to 14 years – one measuring spoon (5ml) syrup 3 times a day after meals.
Children older than 14 years – 2 scoops (10 mL) of syrup 3-4 times a day.
