Composition
Active substance:
1 tablet contains: Essence – 1.575 g consisting of dried viable cells of Lactobacillus delbrueckii subsp. bulgaricus strain 51 (LB-51) – at least 1-102 (the number of live lactobacilli), protein – from 25.0% to 35.0% (based on the total nitrogen – from 4.0 to 5.6%), lactic acid – 6.3% to 12.6%.
Excipients:
Sucrose – not more than 0.9 g of magnesium stearate – 0.025 g
Description:
Round, flat, smooth edges tablets beige-brown color, tolerance of inclusions and color inhomogeneities in the form of “marbling” the dividing line on one side. Diameter 25 mm.
Product form:
6 tablets are packed in blisters made of PVC – film and aluminum foil. 1 or 3 in the blister cardboard pack together with instructions for use.

Indications
Treatment of acute and chronic gastritis, gastric hyperacidity, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer in children from 3 years of age and adults. As a prophylactic gastrofarm used during and after treatment with drugs that irritate the gastro – intestinal tract; when applying food causing gastric hyperacidity; after alcohol and tobacco abuse.
Interaction with other drugs
Gastrofarm can be used with all other drugs.

Pharmacological properties:
Effect of the drug provided by the presence of live lactobacilli Lactobacillus bulgaricus – 51 (LB-51), and biologically active products of their life (lactic and malic acid, nucleic acids, a number of alpha – amino acids, polypeptides and polysaccharides) as well as a high protein content (25-30% ), which have a beneficial effect on the mucous membrane of the gastro – intestinal tract, stimulates the process of regeneration of the mucous membrane of the stomach and duodenum. Antacid and analgesic action due to the buffering properties of the protein contained in the preparation.

Dosing and Administration
Tablets are given orally, 30 minutes before a meal, liquid with a small amount of water or pre-pulverized and mixed with a small amount of boiled water at room temperature.
As a therapeutic agent:
In the treatment of acute and chronic gastritis and gastric hyperacidity adults appoint 1-2 tablets, children from 3 years of age and under 12 years 1/2 tablet, with 12 years of age and under 18 years: 1 tablet 3 times a day within 30 days. In acute gastritis and lack of effect the daily dose can be increased twice. treatment effect usually occurs towards the end of the first week. In the treatment of gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer adults appoint 3-4 tablets 3 times a day for 30 days.
As a preventive measure:
The drug used 1-2 tablets three times a day for 15 days, in cases of alcohol abuse or tobacco – 1-2 tablets 2-3 times daily.
