Active substance:
100 ml solution contains: 2.0 g etylbromisovalerianate, phenobarbital 1,826 g Peppermint oil 0.142 g
Excipients:
95% ethyl alcohol (ethanol) -79 ml, 0.022 g of sodium hydroxide, purified water to 100 ml.

Contraindications
Increased sensitivity to the drug; expressed human kidney and / or liver disease, pregnancy, lactation.
Indications
Corvalol administered as a sedative and vasodilator agents for functional disorders of the cardiovascular system, neurosis conditions involving increased irritability, impaired backfilling, tachycardia, excitation condition with severe vegetative symptoms, and as antispasmodic – bowel spasm.

Pharmacological properties:
Combined preparation. Phenobarbital has sedative and mild hypnotic effects. It helps reduce CNS excitation and facilitates sleep onset. Etylbromisovalerianate sedative and spasmolytic effect. Peppermint oil has vasodilating and spasmolytic activity.

side effects
Corvalol usually well tolerated. In some cases, the daytime sleepiness may be observed, and slight dizziness, allergic reactions, decreased concentration.
With prolonged use of high doses may develop chronic poisoning bromine, the manifestations of which are: depressed mood, apathy, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, hemorrhagic diathesis, impaired motor coordination, drug dependency.
special instructions
The drug contains 75 percent by volume of ethanol and phenobarbital, therefore patients taking Corvalol, it is not recommended to engage in activities associated with increased attention and requires a speed of mental and motor responses.

Dosing and Administration
The dosage is determined individually. Adults are usually prescribed for 15-30 drops 3 times a day before meals. If tachycardia is possible to increase a single dose of 40-50 drops.
