Indications
Treatment of conditions associated with calcium deficiency: hypocalcemic tetany, hypocalcemia due to hypoparathyroidism, rapid growth or pregnancy.
The treatment of muscle spasms as adjuvant therapy of rickets, osteomalacia, and lead colic magnesium sulfate overdose.
Reduction of capillary permeability in allergic conditions, netrombotsitopenicheskoy purpura and exudative dermatoses such as dermatitis herpetiformis and itchy rash due to the use of certain medications.

Pharmacodynamics:
The drug is calcium, replenishes deficit of calcium ions required for transmission of nerve impulses, contraction of skeletal and smooth muscle, myocardium activity, bone formation, blood coagulation.

Pharmacokinetics:

Dosing and Administration
Intramuscularly, intravenously, slowly (at least 3 minutes) or drip. Subcutaneous administration is not allowed.
Adult 5-10 ml 100 mg / ml solution (10% solution) on a daily basis, one day or two days depending on the disease and condition of the patient. If necessary, be administered up to 3 times a day.
Children over 1 year old – slow intravenous injection (during 2-3 minutes) or drip, depending on the age, 2-5 ml of 100 mg / ml of solution.
Children under 1 year of no more than 200 mg (less than 2 ml).
The solution is warmed prior to introduction to a body temperature.
Syringe for administering calcium gluconate must not contain residues of ethanol (to avoid precipitation of calcium gluconate in the precipitate). Children intramuscularly administered drug is not recommended because of the possible development of necrosis.
