Contraindications
Individual hypersensitivity to any component of the drug, hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria, nephrolithiasis, hypervitaminosis of Vitamin D3, severe renal insufficiency, active tuberculosis, decalcifying tumor (myeloma, bone metastases, sarcoidosis), children up to 5 years.
Carefully:
Benign granulomatosis, receiving cardiac glycosides and thiazide diuretics, pregnancy, lactation.
Indications
Prophylaxis and a comprehensive treatment of osteoporosis of various genesis.
To make up for deficiency of calcium and trace elements in children, adolescents and women during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Interaction with other drugs
With simultaneous application Kaltsemin® formulation with vitamin A vitamin D3 decreased toxicity. Phenytoin, barbiturates, steroids reduce the efficacy of vitamin D3. Laxatives reduced absorption of vitamin D3.
Glucocorticoids, hormonal contraceptives for systemic use, levothyroxine impair the absorption of calcium ions. With simultaneous use of tetracyclines interval between doses should be at least 3 hours bisphosphonates and sodium fluoride (broken their absorption) – not less than 2 hours. When the joint application Kaltsemin® preparation with increased cardiac glycoside toxicity (ECG requires monitoring and clinical condition) with thiazide diuretics – increases the risk of hypercalcemia, with furosemide and other “loop” diuretics – increased calcium excretion by the kidneys. Should not be used in conjunction with Kaltsemin® calcium channel blockers. Not recommended simultaneous reception of the drug with antacids that contain aluminum, due to lower their effectiveness.
Overdose
Hypervitaminosis of Vitamin D, hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria.
Symptoms: loss of appetite, thirst, polyuria, dizziness, fainting, constipation, nausea and vomiting. Prolonged use of excessive doses of calcification of vessels and tissues. It is necessary to reduce the dose or stop using the product. In case of accidental overdose, induce vomiting, gastric lavage. Symptomatic therapy.
pharmachologic effect
Pharmacological group:
Calcium-phosphorus metabolism regulator.
Pharmacological properties:
Combined preparation containing calcium, vitamin D3, minerals osteotropic regulating calcium metabolism.
The pharmacological action of the drug is determined by the properties of its constituent ingredients.
Calcium is involved in the formation of bone tissue, reduces bone resorption (resorption) and increases bone density, prevents diseases of the musculoskeletal system, helps to strengthen the skeletal system and joints.
Calcium citrate provides the absorption of calcium, regardless of the functional state of the gastrointestinal tract, is useful for treating patients with reduced secretory function of the digestive tract, as well as during treatment with drugs to lower the secretion; reduces bone resorption markers of bone, indicating a slowing of the destruction of the bone tissue; It adjusts the level of parathyroid hormone, which leads to an improvement in the regulation of calcium homeostasis; oxalate does not increase the calcium content in urine and consequently does not cause a risk of stone formation in the kidneys; It does not block the absorption of iron, which reduces the risk of developing iron deficiency anemia.
Kolekaltsiferol (vitamin D3) regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body, is involved in forming the skeleton, contributes to the preservation of bone structure, increases calcium absorption in the intestine and reabsorption of phosphorus in the kidney tubules.
Zinc promotes the synthesis of sex hormones that prevent the destruction of the bone tissue.
Manganese is involved in the formation of proteoglycans, which improves the quality of bone tissue and forms a protein matrix of bone tissue.
Copper is involved in the synthesis of collagen and elastin, a component of bone and connective tissue, which affects the processes of bone mass.
Boron reduces the excessive activity of parathyroid hormone, improves calcium absorption, reduces the risk of cholecalciferol deficiency contributes to the prevention of osteoporosis.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
During pregnancy and lactation the drug should be discussed with your doctor.
The daily dose should not exceed 1500 mg calcium and 600 IU vitamin D3, hypercalcemia, developing on the background overdose during pregnancy may cause defects mental and physical development of the fetus.
Breastfeeding women should be aware that Kolekaltsiferol and its metabolites into breast milk, so you need to take into account the intake of calcium and vitamin D3.
Conditions of supply of pharmacies
Without recipe.
side effects
Nausea, vomiting, flatulence, diarrhea, constipation, hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria, allergic reactions (itching, rash, urticaria).
special instructions
The dose should not exceed that which is specified in instructions as an increased calcium intake can inhibit the intestinal absorption of iron, zinc and other minerals required.

Does not affect.
