Treatment: gastric lavage, administration of activated charcoal, correction fluid and electrolyte balance, the parenteral administration of cholinomimetics and anticholinesterases. Treatment is symptomatic.
pharmachologic effect
Pharmacological group:
Preparations for the treatment of functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. Antispasmodics and holinoblokatory in combination with other drugs. Antispasmodics in combination with other drugs.
Pharmacodynamics:
Combined preparation has antispasmodic, local anesthetic and analgesic effect.
Spasmolytic effect due to the effect of belladonna alkaloids: owing m-anticholinergic effect decreases the tonus of smooth muscle organs (bronchial tree, the abdominal organs, etc.) is eliminated intestinal muscle spasm, biliary tract, reduced motility, secretion of digestive, salivary glands and other develops dromotropic and positive chronotropic effect. Benzocaine has a local anesthetic action.
Pharmacokinetics:
Pharmacokinetics of belladonna. Well absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract (GIT). It is not known whether belladonna alkaloids into breast milk. Atropine, hyoscyamine, scopolamine cross the placenta. Atropine and hyoscyamine readily penetrate the blood-brain barrier. Belladonna alkaloids hydrolyzed to tropine and tropine acid. The kidneys and, to a lesser extent through the intestines.
Pharmacokinetics benzocaine. Benzocaine is poorly soluble in water, which leads to its slow absorption. Like all ester derivatives of para-aminobenzoic acid, splits esterase in the blood plasma and liver. As a result, formed of p-aminobenzoic acid and ethyl alcohol, is metabolized to atsetilkoenzima A. Para-aminobenzoic acid undergoes conjugation with glycine or excreted by the kidneys unchanged.
Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Use during pregnancy is contraindicated.
Use of the drug is contraindicated in the I trimester of pregnancy due to the teratogenic effects of belladonna alkaloids, in the II and III trimester – is not recommended due to the lack of use of safety data in this group of patients.
the penetration of data belladonna alkaloids into breast milk is not available, therefore the use of the drug is not recommended during breast-feeding.
