Description:

Pregnancy and breast-feeding
Pregnancy
Clinical experience with topical benzoyl peroxide in pregnancy is absent or limited. Data on its effects on reproduction, fertility, or peri- and postnatal development as well as the properties of teratogenicity and embryo toxicity of the drug when used in animals are also available. With widespread clinical application for treating acne in weight concentrations up to 10% over several decades, benzoyl peroxide caused no effect on these parameters in humans.
