Composition
Active substance:
1 tablet contains: chlorhexidine diacetate, 2.00 mg, tetracaine hydrochloride 0.20 mg, ascorbic acid, 50.00 mg.
Excipients:
Levomenthol 3,362 mg, 2,831 mg of saccharin, sorbitol 1076.434 mg silica 5.000 mg Magnesium stearate 5.750 mg, flavor “aniseed” 1,415 mg, flavor “mint” 0.354 mg, azorubin colorant (E-122) 2,654 mg.
Description:
Flat tablets with beveled edge, from pale pink to reddish-pink in color with lighter and darker patches, and odor. On both sides of the tablets engraved «NP» on wood background.
Product form:
Lozenges.
At 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 tablets in blister PVC / Al.

Contraindications
– increased sensitivity to the drug; – Children under 5 years old; – I trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions: in II and III trimesters of pregnancy by a doctor, lactation, diabetes, lack of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, hemochromatosis, sideroblastic anemia, thalassemia, hyperoxaluria, oksaloz and nephrolithiasis.

Indications
Prevention and treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx (stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, periodontal disease, angina initial stage, the condition after tonsillectomy or tooth extraction, etc.).
Interaction with other drugs
Tetracaine reduces the antibacterial activity of sulfonamides.
Vasoconstrictors prolong the effect and reduce the toxicity of tetracaine.
Ascorbic acid increases in the blood concentration of penicillin and tetracyclines, increases the risk of crystalluria in the treatment of salicylates and sulfonamides short-acting, reduces blood levels of oral contraceptives.
Overdose
Overdose symptoms: dizziness, weakness, cyanosis, agitation, anxiety, muscle tremors, respiratory failure, nausea, vomiting.
Treatment: gastric lavage, the appointment of laxatives; symptomatic therapy.
pharmachologic effect
Pharmacological group:
Antiseptic + local anesthetic.
Pharmacological properties:
The antibacterial effect of chlorhexidine is carried out by non-specific binding to bacterial cell membrane phospholipids. Chlorhexidine may have bactericidal and bacteriostatic action, mainly against Gram-positive bacteria and Candida albicans, and at least against gram-negative bacteria. Chlorhexidine especially active against Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus salivarius, Escherichia coli, Selenomonas spp. and anaerobic bacteria.
The drug is significantly less effective against microbial species such as the Streptococcus sanguis, Proteus, Pseudomonas, Klebsiella veillonella.
Anesthetic tetracaine provides lokal action.
Ascorbic acid is a cofactor in the synthesis of collagen and tissue regeneration, enhances immune responses and reduces the permeability of the capillaries, thereby, reduces inflammation and edema of the mucous membranes of the mouth and pharynx.

special instructions
It is not recommended to use simultaneously with drugs for the treatment of oral cavity and pharynx, containing iodine (Lugol’s iodine, povidone-iodine). Ascorbic acid, which is part of the preparation, may alter the results of some laboratory tests, what should be reported in the analysis.

Dosing and Administration
Locally. Keep the mouth to complete resorption.
Adults and children from 15 years: 6 tablets per day at an interval of 2 hours.
Children from 5 to 10 years: 3 tablets per day with an interval of 4 hours.
Children from 10 to 15 years: 4 tablets per day with a 3:00 interval.
