Vasoconstrictors prolong the effect and reduce the toxicity of tetracaine.
Ascorbic acid increases in the blood concentration of penicillin and tetracycline. It improves the intestinal absorption of iron. Reduces the effectiveness of heparin and indirect anticoagulants. It increases the risk of crystalluria in the treatment of salicylates and sulfonamides short-acting, reduces blood levels of oral contraceptives.

Chlorhexidine especially active against Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus salivarius, Escherichia coli, Selenomonas spp. and anaerobic bacteria.
The drug is significantly less effective against microbial species such as the Streptococcus sanguis, Proteus, Pseudomonas, Klebsiella veillonella.
Anesthetic tetracaine provides lokal action.
