Product form:
Syrup 15 mg / 5 ml, 30 mg / 5 ml. 100 ml of syrup into vials of glass of orange glass capped with plastic plugs or caps or aluminum without sealing with plastic caps. 100 ml of syrup into vials with plastic lids.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ambroxol or one of the excipients; pregnancy (I term); lactation. Fructose intolerance, since preparation comprises sorbitol.

Indications
Acute and chronic respiratory disease with separation of viscous mucus: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma with difficulty sputum discharge, bronchiectasis.

Pharmacological properties:
Ambroxol has secretomotoric, sekretoliticheskim and expectorant action: stimulates serous gland cells of the bronchial mucosa, increases the amount of mucous secretion and release of surfactant (surfactant) in the alveoli and bronchi; normalize the disturbed ratio of serous and mucous sputum components. Activating the hydrolyzing enzymes and increasing the release of lysosomal Clara cells, reduces the viscosity of sputum. Increases motor activity of the cilia of the ciliated epithelium. Strengthens current and mucus transport (mucociliary clearance). Strengthening improves mucociliary clearance of sputum expectoration and eases cough.

Dosing and Administration
Syrup should be taken orally, after meals. The drug should not be taken immediately before bedtime. Syrup 15 mg / 5 ml – 1 measuring cup or scoop contains 15 mg of ambroxol; 5 ml syrup = 1 1 a measuring cup or scoop; 10 ml of syrup = 2 jiggers or 2 scoops; 2.5 ml of syrup = 1/2 or 1/2 measuring cup measuring spoon. Adults and children over 12 years: during the first 2-3 days of a 10 ml syrup 3 times a day, then the dose should be reduced to 10 mL of syrup 2 times per day. Children 6 to 12 years: 5 ml of syrup 2-3 times a day. Children aged 2 to 6 years: 2.5 ml syrup 3 times a day. Children under 2 years of age: 2.5 ml of syrup two times a day. Adults and children over 12 years: during the first 2-3 days of a syrup 5ml 3 times a day, then the dose should be reduced to 5 ml syrup 2 times per day. Children aged 6 to 12 years: 2.5 ml syrup 2-3 times per day. Children aged 2 to 6 years: Syrup 1.25 ml 3 times per day. Children under 2 years old: 1.25 ml syrup 2 times a day. The maximum daily adult dose of 120 mg of ambroxol; the maximum daily dose for children 6 to 12 years – 45 mg ambroxol, for children from 2 to 6 years old – 22.5 mg ambroxol, for children up to 2 years – 15 mg of ambroxol. Duration of treatment is chosen individually depending on the disease. Do not take ambroxol without a doctor’s prescription for more than 4-5 days.
